Welcome to the Brewhouse Voyager!
For me, craft beer is a journey. It enables transportation to other places and times, furthers our understanding of the world around us through the technical processes, and of course it brings people together.
Beer has existed in some form for recorded history, and many of the beer styles that we know and see in brew pubs today have evolved over hundreds of years, with changes precipitating from technological innovation, taxation, and war, sometimes in unexpected ways. Making better beer has long been a sort of a collaborative group project for humanity, a spirit that continues to this day with brewery collaborations, knowledge sharing, and homebrew clubs.
The Brewhouse Voyager blog will explore homebrewing, beer history, as well as its present and future. In summary, it's all about the journey.
